For the first time, the MAKK presents a previously unpublicized private collection, which comprises an almost complete series of record covers devised by Andy Warhol plus numerous sketches and designs. Warhol’s experimental working method, which evolved frequently through the medium of photography, is echoed in record-cover design. Together with films, audio snippets, photographs and other works by Andy Warhol, the exhibition – true to the title, “Pop goes Art” – documents the interplay of the media of art and music.
