The PhotoBookMuseum presents a KICKOFF exhibition for a new project “Street-Life”. A tribute to Chargesheimer and his photographic work in the streets of Cologne. 2018 is the 60th anniversary of his famous landmark photobook “UNTER KRAHNENBÄUMEN“. How can we grasp relevance and influence of a photobook? How can we transfer Chargesheimers Street Ballad and manifesto of “streets like this” into the need of reloading quality of public life today and discussing consequences for a tomorrow’ street manifesto.
