In her works, as before, Verena Guther leads the viewer through the metropolises of this world and has them unfold their effect in impressive landscape or portrait formats. Her view of New York, Paris, Berlin, Shanghai or Istanbul is made clear by the post-editing of her photographs, for the artist creates collages that represent an interplay of photography, photocollage and painterly elements. Her attached elements often stand out due to strong chromaticity and unusual motifs.
