The festival centre at the MAKK - Museum of Applied Arts Cologne is this evening’s meeting point for a new educational format on four wheels: Together with photography experts Erik Kessels (artist, designer, publisher and curator), Teona Gogichaishvili (freelance curator), Markus Schaden (The PhotoBookMuseum), small groups will exclusively visit selected festival locations by shuttle vehicle. The tours by Erik Kessels and Markus Schaden will be in English, the tour by Teona Gogichaishvili in German.

On these 3 individual vehicle tours through Cologne, participants get the opportunity to experience exhibition venues in Cologne – selected by our photography experts – during an exclusive tour at each one. Our experts’ different backgrounds and focuses ensure that each tour promises unique and private insights and new discoveries. During the approx. 2-hour trip in the vehicles of our mobility partner Toyota and the stops at multiple exhibitions, individual questions can be asked and experiences discussed.

“Through the Night With...” invites participants to make new encounters, discover surprising venues and celebrate, during this inspiring foray into night-time Cologne, not only the special opening hours of “Long Friday” (up until 10 p.m.) but also, especially, the abundant and varied Cologne photography scene.
