Exactly sixteen years ago the Krings-Ernst Galerie showed the works of South African photographer David Goldblatt. It was the series Wittenoom, Western Australia, his first major cycle in colour, the first not to deal with his homeland of South Africa. David Goldblatt, one of South Africa’s most important and influential photographers, died on 25 June of this year at the age of 87. As an homage to the artist and a sign of the greatest appreciation, the Krings-Ernst Galerie is showing a resumption of the exhibition from 2002.
