Kamil Rachwal was born in Wroclaw/ Breslau, and has been living in Cologne since 1988. His photographic journeys often take him to Poland. It is not modern Poland – or what is assumed to be modern Poland – that interests him, it is people at the border, who live in borderline situations as well, on the outermost margins of Europe. Contentedness with the barest necessities can be felt. Curator: Elvira Reith; organizer: Kalz e.V.
