The photographic works of Rita Rohlfing have the effect of a cosmos, a construct of light and space. Only those who look for clues will discover the microcosmos, find traces of use and pause in the face of the change of perspective.
Despite their refraining from strong colours, Rita Rohlfing’s photographs unmistakeably have a reference to painting. The light blue, the distribution of brightness values, the apparently gestural traces make them look like photographic variants of non-representational paintings.
