In his works, Bernd Halbherr (*1964) deals with opportunities to convey the in itself two-dimensional photographic image into the third dimension. His “photo spheres”, “wall reliefs” and “photo prints” are all based equally on the fundamental conceptual notion of breaking through two-dimensionality. These are photo-sculptures that are as self-willed as they are fascinating. Bernd Halbherr studied under Klaus Rinke at the Düsseldorfer Akademie. Today he teaches at the Chung Ang University in Seoul.
